Young Man Dies After Head Hits Bottom of Swimming Pool During Dive at Malvan Resort

A 25-year-old man from Sangli died after his head struck the bottom of a shallow swimming pool while diving at a resort in Malvan, Maharashtra. The tragic incident, captured on video and widely shared on social media, has left his friends in shock. Police registered an accidental death report and completed the post-mortem before handing over the body to the family.

 

A 25-year-old man lost his life in a tragic accident after suffering a severe head injury while diving into a swimming pool at a resort in Malvan, Maharashtra. The fatal incident occurred as five to six friends were enjoying themselves in the pool when the victim jumped from an elevated position and struck his head on the bottom of the pool. He died on the spot due to the impact, leaving his friends in shock.

According to available information, the deceased has been identified as Shrenik Takale from Sangli. The accident took place at a resort located in Wairy, where the group of friends had gathered for leisure. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, capturing the moments leading up to the fatal accident.

The viral footage shows five friends at the swimming pool. Two of them are seen dancing inside the pool to music, while three others remain outside. Shrenik Takale is initially seen dancing from an elevated platform before attempting a dive into the pool. Moments later, he plunges into the shallow section of the pool, where his head forcefully collides with the pool floor, causing critical injuries.

For several seconds, he does not resurface, prompting one of his friends to notice something was wrong and begin shouting for help. The remaining friends immediately rushed to pull him out of the water. However, despite their efforts, he succumbed to his injuries before any medical treatment could begin.

The incident has left the deceased's friends deeply traumatized. Following the accident, the police registered an accidental death report. After completing the post-mortem examination, authorities handed over the body to the deceased's family members.

The shocking incident has once again highlighted the dangers of diving into shallow swimming pools. As the video continues to circulate widely on social media, the tragedy serves as a grim reminder that a single misjudgment during recreational activities can have irreversible consequences.
