Acting swiftly on a complaint received through social media, Rajendranagar Traffic Police Station SHO CH Raju confirmed that a police team was immediately deployed to trace the vehicle. Following the operation, officials identified and detained the vehicle, the minor boy, and his father. They were subsequently transferred to the Rajendranagar Law and Order Police Station for further legal proceedings.
Police have registered the case under charges of permitting a minor to drive a vehicle, dangerous driving, and disobedience of lawful police orders. Officials stated that strict action will be taken in accordance with the law against all those found responsible for the incident.
The vehicle involved, an MG Cyberster, is recognized as India’s first all-electric roadster. Priced at approximately 75 lakh rupees, the luxury electric sports car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.2 seconds, intensifying concerns regarding the severe risks associated with underage driving on public roads.
