Citroen Launches eC3X Electric Vehicle in India at Rs 6.89 Lakh Under Battery Subscription Model
Citroen has launched the eC3X electric vehicle in India with prices starting at Rs 6.89 lakh under a Battery-as-a-Service model. The electric car offers a 320-kilometre claimed range, a 29.2 kWh battery pack, advanced connectivity features, six airbags, and fast-charging capability, strengthening Citroen’s presence in the Indian electric mobility market.
The Citroen eC3X retains a design language similar to its internal combustion engine counterpart while introducing styling enhancements associated with the “X” designation. The front fascia features LED daytime running lamps, fog lamps, and the brand’s signature grille. The electric vehicle rides on 15-inch alloy wheels and incorporates protective body cladding. It is offered in six monotone exterior shades: Polar White, Steel Grey, Cosmo Blue, Perla Nera Black, Garnet Red, and Deep Forest Green.
Inside the cabin, Citroen has focused on ease of use and practicality. The dashboard is finished with electric blue decorative elements, while the seats are upholstered in Tone Lama Leatherette. The vehicle is equipped with a 10.25-inch infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
The feature list includes a wireless mobile charger and Connected Car Technology 2.0, providing multiple remote access functions. Additional equipment includes an electrochromic inside rear-view mirror. Customers can also opt for a JBL audio system and a front and rear dashcam package.
On the safety front, the eC3X is equipped with six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Isofix child seat mounts, lane departure warning, high-speed alert, and several other protective features aimed at enhancing occupant safety.
Powering the Citroen eC3X is a 29.2 kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed driving range of up to 320 kilometres on a single charge. The electric motor produces 57 horsepower and 143 Nm of peak torque. The battery supports DC fast charging and can be charged from 10 per cent to 80 per cent capacity in 57 minutes.
With the launch of the eC3X, Citroen is expanding its electric mobility portfolio in India while offering buyers greater flexibility through its battery subscription model. The combination of competitive pricing, practical features, safety equipment, and a claimed range of 320 kilometres positions the eC3X as a significant addition to the growing electric vehicle segment in the country.
