Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, in a World Bicycle Day message, urged India’s youth to adopt cycling as a daily habit to promote fitness, discipline, and environmental sustainability. He highlighted its role in improving physical and mental well-being and advancing cleaner mobility, contributing to a healthier and greener nation driven by youth participation.

 

Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya has called upon India’s youth to adopt cycling and lead a nationwide movement toward a fitter, healthier, and greener nation.

In a video message released on World Bicycle Day, the Minister stated that the regular practice of cycling can foster a balanced and disciplined lifestyle while simultaneously strengthening environmental sustainability and promoting cleaner mobility solutions.

He further emphasized that cycling plays a vital role in enhancing both physical and mental well-being. He added that this simple yet impactful habit contributes significantly to building a healthier and greener nation driven by youth participation.

The appeal underscores the government’s continued focus on sustainable transportation practices and highlights the role of young citizens in driving long-term public health improvement and environmental progress.
