The Ganga Expressway is designed to facilitate the development of industrial and logistical hubs across 27 regions along its route. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that approximately 18,000 acres of land have been acquired from over one lakh farmers for the project. He further noted that industrial clusters and logistical hubs are being developed on nearly 7,000 acres along the expressway corridor.
Highlighting the transformation in the state’s infrastructure landscape, Adityanath said that prior to 2017, Uttar Pradesh faced challenges including dynastic politics, caste-based divisions, recurring riots, lawlessness, frequent curfews, and the parallel influence of criminal networks, conditions that hindered development, employment, and investment opportunities. He asserted that over the past nine years, the impact of the double-engine government is now visible through an extensive network of expressways, highways, district roads, and approximately four lakh kilometres of rural roads across the state.
The inauguration of the Ganga Expressway marks a significant milestone in Uttar Pradesh’s infrastructure development, positioning the state as a key destination for industrial growth, improved logistics, and enhanced economic connectivity.
