Fierce Fire Guts Home in Amroha Village, Causes Heavy Financial Loss
A massive fire in Guladiya village of Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, gutted a farmer’s house after a suspected short circuit triggered flames that destroyed property worth several lakhs. The family was in the fields during the incident, preventing casualties but resulting in severe material loss.
According to initial findings, the blaze is suspected to have started from a short circuit inside one of the rooms. What began as a minor spark quickly escalated, engulfing household items, furniture, and electronic appliances before anyone could intervene. With the farmer’s family out in the fields at the time, the fire went unnoticed until flames and smoke drew the attention of neighbours, who attempted to help but were unable to contain the rapidly spreading blaze.
Local authorities were informed, and efforts were made to bring the situation under control, though much of the structure and belongings had already succumbed to the fire. Officials noted that while the financial loss is substantial, the absence of injuries or loss of life brought some relief to the affected family and community.
The incident underscores the growing concern around electrical safety in rural homes, where unnoticed wiring faults can lead to sudden and catastrophic damage. As the affected family begins assessing the losses, the episode serves as a reminder of the need for preventive measures and regular electrical inspections to avoid such tragedies.
