Kejriwal Slams Centre After Goa Nightclub Tragedy, Says Owner “Fled Overnight on IndiGo Flight”

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has accused the central government of major administrative lapses after the Goa nightclub tragedy that killed 25 people, claiming the club owner fled the country overnight on an IndiGo flight. He urged strict action and justice for victims’ families as questions mount over security failures.

Goa’s recent nightclub disaster—where 25 people lost their lives—has triggered a sharp political confrontation, with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accusing the central government of serious administrative failure. Speaking in Rajkot, Gujarat, Kejriwal alleged that despite the magnitude of the incident, the owner of the nightclub evaded responsibility and left the country within hours of the tragedy.

According to Kejriwal, the club owner managed to fly out on an IndiGo aircraft, the same airline he claimed had recently forced the Modi government “to its knees.” He argued that the manner in which the accused slipped through security protocols points to grave lapses in oversight and raises unsettling questions about enforcement mechanisms following such catastrophic events.

Kejriwal urged the Centre to take decisive action, asserting that accountability must be upheld both to ensure justice for the victims’ families and to restore public confidence in the system. He emphasized that the escape of the prime accused, particularly in a case involving so many fatalities, reflects systemic weaknesses that demand urgent corrective measures.

As investigations continue, the incident has evolved beyond a tragic accident into a flashpoint over governance, security, and public safety. The unanswered questions surrounding the suspect’s departure are likely to intensify political scrutiny and further pressure authorities to demonstrate transparency and resolve in the days ahead.
