Teen Aviation Student Murdered in Kerala; Boyfriend Confesses After Night of Alcohol-Fuelled Rage
A 19-year-old aviation student from Kerala, missing since Sunday, was found murdered, with her boyfriend Alan confessing to killing her during an alcohol-fuelled dispute. Police recovered a blood-stained stone and used key CCTV footage to confirm the sequence of events leading to the crime.
According to the Kalady Police, Alan admitted during interrogation that he killed the young woman in the early hours of Sunday. Investigators said an argument between the couple spiralled out of control, allegedly fuelled by Alan’s suspicions and his intoxicated state. In his confession, he revealed that he struck her on the head with a stone, leading to her death at the scene.
Police recovered a blood-stained stone from near the body, a crucial piece of physical evidence that strengthened the murder suspicion early in the probe. The breakthrough came after CCTV footage surfaced showing Chithrapriya travelling on a motorcycle with Alan at around 1:53 a.m., with another biker trailing them. The footage, officials said, became a pivotal link in reconstructing the final moments before the killing.
Alan was taken into custody shortly after the evidence pointed conclusively towards him. Officers said the confession followed “sustained, detailed questioning” once inconsistencies emerged in his initial statements.
The shocking murder has left the local community shaken, raising concerns about rising instances of violent crime driven by suspicion, substance abuse, and heated domestic disputes. As the investigation progresses, police are expected to undertake further forensic and procedural steps to strengthen the case before court proceedings begin.
