Telangana Unveils ₹1,000-Crore Fund to Accelerate Startup Growth, Targets 100 New Unicorns from Hyderabad
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has launched a ₹1,000-crore fund-of-funds to accelerate the state’s startup ecosystem, aiming to support at least 100 Hyderabad-based ventures in becoming unicorns. Speaking at the launch, Reddy emphasized that the state intends to help at least 100 startups from Hyderabad achieve unicorn status. Drawing an analogy with football, he noted that building a successful startup requires the same blend of teamwork, discipline and sustained effort—and ultimately, what matters most is achieving victory after persistent hard work.
The Chief Minister underscored that a robust support ecosystem, coupled with targeted financial backing, will position Telangana as a competitive destination for entrepreneurship. He added that the newly created fund-of-funds will serve as a catalytic resource, strengthening emerging companies and enabling them to compete internationally while driving employment and innovation within the state.
With this announcement, Telangana signals its growing commitment to cultivating a world-class startup environment. The new fund marks a strategic step toward shaping Hyderabad into an influential center for next-generation technology and fostering homegrown companies capable of making a global mark.
