Rajasthan Congress Chief Accuses State Government of Governance Breakdown, Says ₹3,000-Crore Allocation Withheld
Rajasthan Congress chief Govind Singh Dotasra accuses the BJP-led state government of administrative failure, alleging that delayed Panchayati Raj elections prompted the Centre to withhold ₹3,000 crore. He also criticizes the use of defeated representatives in delimitation and claims most budget promises remain unfulfilled.
According to Dotasra, the government’s approach to delimitation has further undermined democratic norms. He accused the BJP administration of assigning critical electoral restructuring work to defeated representatives, asserting that such decisions compromise institutional integrity and weaken public trust in the system. The Congress leader argued that the process must remain transparent and non-partisan to preserve electoral fairness.
Dotasra also questioned the government’s delivery on its own fiscal promises, stating that less than 20 percent of announced budget commitments have been implemented so far. He described the administration as “confused and disorderly,” contending that Rajasthan has not previously witnessed governance of this nature. His remarks come amid growing political friction between the ruling and opposition parties as the state faces increasing scrutiny over policy execution and administrative performance.
The allegations add fresh intensity to Rajasthan’s political landscape, underscoring rising tensions over accountability and governance. With a significant funding freeze and disputes over electoral procedures at stake, the situation is likely to shape both policy debates and political momentum in the months ahead.
