Mammootty's film with Vysakh goes on floors, superstar unveils title poster

Malayalam superstar Mammootty has revealed his latest project with director Vysakh, titled Turbo. This marks their third collaboration, following Pokkiri Raja and Madhura Raja. The film's first poster, featuring a striking bloody punch, has piqued the interest of fans. Mammootty not only stars in the movie but also serves as its producer under his banner, Mammootty Kampany.

The septuagenarian superstar made the announcement on X, formerly Twitter, sharing the title poster and stating, "Presenting The Title Poster of Our Fifth Production Venture." The film, scripted by Midhun Manuel Thomas went on floors on October 24. The makers shared the news via social media account of the film.

Treating fans with a string of pictures from Turbo sets, the makers wrote, "On this Auspicious day we commenced the shoot for our ambitious #Turbo at Coimbatore , Here are few stills From the switch on Ceremony.. 😊." Soon the makers shared the update on Mammootty's film with Vysakh, fans expressed their excitement in the comments, offering best wishes and eagerly anticipating the film's release.

Earlier, there were reports suggesting that Turbo might be a sequel to Mammootty's 1990 action comedy, Kottayam Kunjachan, with the title Adi Pidi Jose. However, Mammootty clarified in an interview with Asianet News that Adi Pidi Jose is not the film's title and has no connection to his character in Kottayam Kunjachan. Turbo will feature editing by Shameer Muhammed, music by Justin Varghese, and action direction by Phoenix Prabhu. The rest of the cast is yet to be announced.
