Bomb Threat Email to Bombay High Court Targets BSE, Worli Racecourse and Amitabh Bachchan’s Jalsa
A bomb threat email sent to the Bombay High Court has put Mumbai on security alert, naming BSE, Worli Racecourse and Amitabh Bachchan's Jalsa bungalow as targets. Police searches found no suspicious objects as the investigation continues.
Mumbai Police and other security agencies have taken the threat seriously and launched an investigation to identify the sender of the threatening email. Security has been tightened at the locations mentioned in the message as authorities take precautionary measures.
Following the threat, security arrangements were strengthened at the Bombay High Court and Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan’s residence. Mumbai Police personnel and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) were deployed to conduct security checks. Police teams searched the surrounding areas, while a separate search operation was also carried out at Mahalaxmi Racecourse. No suspicious objects were found at any of the locations searched.
The latest threat comes amid an ongoing investigation into a firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai. The incident took place on October 18 at around 7 pm in the Juhu area. According to police, Tiger Shroff was leaving in his car after practising at a football club when unidentified attackers fired several rounds at the vehicle.
The actor escaped without injuries, but his driver was injured. A passerby who was present at the location also sustained injuries.
Police registered a case on October 19, the day after the shooting. As the investigation progressed, the Mumbai Crime Branch began making arrests in connection with the incident.
During the investigation, police received information that Amitabh Bachchan was also among the attackers’ intended targets. Following this development, security outside his residence was strengthened.
Recently, when Amitabh Bachchan stepped outside his home to meet fans, he was seen behind bulletproof glass. The latest bomb threat naming his bungalow, along with other prominent Mumbai locations, has once again prompted heightened security measures and an investigation by the city's law enforcement agencies.
