Woman Who Left Three Children for Lover Found Murdered, Body Dumped in Mumbai

A 27-year-old woman from Sadakpur village who left her three children and moved to Mumbai with her lover has been found dead in a garbage dump in Bandra. Her lover had suspected his wife and in-laws of involvement.

A 27-year-old woman from Sadakpur village, Rukhsana, who had left her three children on July 9 due to a love affair with Mohammad Sakib, a resident of the same village, has been found murdered in Mumbai. Her body was recovered from a garbage dump in the Bandra area. She had been living with Sakib in rented accommodation in Mumbai’s Santacruz area.

Sakib had lodged a complaint with the Santacruz police station, suspecting that his wife and her family members were involved in Rukhsana’s murder. Police have recovered the body, and the deceased woman’s family members have left for Mumbai.

According to Zafaruddin, Rukhsana’s uncle and a resident of Sadakpur village, Sakib and Rukhsana had been involved in a love affair in the village around six years ago. When their families learned about the relationship, Rukhsana was married to a man from Ravana village in the Kanth police station area of Moradabad. Sakib also got married later and moved to Mumbai, where he began working as an auto-rickshaw driver.

In July, both returned to their respective homes. They reportedly spoke to each other during this period before eloping together. Rukhsana has three children, while Sakib has two.

Zafaruddin said Sakib had called the village a few days ago to inform the family that Rukhsana was missing. On September 26, Sakib went out to drive his auto-rickshaw. When he returned home at night, Rukhsana was nowhere to be found.

Suspecting these family members of involvement in Rukhsana’s disappearance and murder, Sakib submitted a written complaint at the Santacruz police station in Mumbai. On Sunday, police recovered Rukhsana’s body from a garbage dump in the Bandra area.

Following the recovery, Rukhsana’s family members left for Mumbai. The recovery of the body has brought the case into focus, with Sakib’s allegations against his wife and in-laws forming a key part of the complaint.
