Rajasthan CM Gifts Mata Rani Idol to PM Modi After BJP’s Strong Poll Showing

Rajasthan Chief Minister presented a Mata Rani idol to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a 20-minute courtesy meeting in New Delhi, following the BJP’s strong performance in the state’s recent urban local body elections. The meeting came after a cabinet resolution honouring Modi’s 25 years in public service.
During the meeting, Modi praised the BJP’s electoral performance in Rajasthan, where the party secured 4,179 wards compared with Congress’s 3,613. The results marked a significant urban electoral showing for the BJP as the state prepares for the upcoming panchayat elections.
The courtesy meeting also followed the Rajasthan cabinet’s decision to honour Modi for completing 25 years in public service. The presentation of the Mata Rani idol formed part of the encounter between the Chief Minister and the Prime Minister in the national capital.
With panchayat polls on the horizon, the BJP is looking to build on its urban electoral gains and strengthen its position in rural areas. Modi’s praise for the party’s performance underscored the importance of the recent results as Rajasthan’s political focus shifts towards the next round of local elections.
The meeting brought together the recognition of Modi’s public service and the BJP’s recent electoral performance, with the forthcoming panchayat elections emerging as the next major test for the party in Rajasthan.
