Lucknow: The villages and hamlets falling under the Lucknow Development Authority’s (LDA) IT City scheme are set for infrastructure upgrades, with the authority planning to spend approximately ₹100.71 crore on roads, sewerage, water supply lines and drainage systems across the area.

LDA Vice-Chairman Prathamesh Kumar inspected the scheme on Tuesday and directed officials to accelerate development work to ensure timely completion of the planned infrastructure projects.

Under the land pooling policy for the IT City scheme, the LDA is allotting developed plots within the project area to farmers and landowners who contributed their land. So far, 2,197 plots have been allotted to 1,465 farmers.

The allotted plots are located in Sectors 15, 16, 17, 18, 30 and 9 of the scheme. During his site inspection, the vice-chairman directed officials to prioritise and complete development work in these sectors first.

These include Alipur, Bhawani Khera, Dev Singh Khera, Swami Khera/Jagmat Khera, Kunwar Bahadur Khera, Nabi Khera, Sallahi Khera, Sonai Purwa, Umeed Khera and Veerampur.

Roads, sewerage networks, drinking water facilities and drainage systems will be developed around these villages and hamlets. The LDA will spend approximately ₹100.71 crore on the proposed works, aimed at improving basic infrastructure across the areas covered by the scheme.

Road Cuts to Be Repaired Within One Month

During the inspection, the vice-chairman also reviewed road cuts made in parts of the IT City scheme to facilitate water drainage after waterlogging affected residential areas during the rainy season.

He directed officials to restore the affected roads within one month.

Chief Engineer Manvendra Singh, Executive Engineer Nishant Kumar, Zonal Officer Devansh Trivedi, Consolidation Officer Tulsiram, along with other officials and engineers, were present during the inspection.

The planned infrastructure works, plot allotments and road restoration deadline form part of the LDA’s ongoing development efforts in the IT City scheme, with officials directed to prioritise the allotted sectors and address road damage within the stipulated timeframe.
