The release comes during India’s 2026 BRICS chairmanship, which is aligned with the themes of resilience, innovation, cooperation and sustainability. The stamps highlight the significance of two decades of engagement within the grouping as it has expanded its membership.
During the summit, BRICS leaders also adopted the New Delhi Declaration 2026 by consensus. The declaration emphasizes multilateralism, economic ties and priorities of the Global South.
Modi thanked BRICS partners for their support during India’s chairmanship. The launch of the anniversary stamps at the New Delhi summit marked a key moment in the 20-year journey of the grouping and its continuing dialogue and cooperation among emerging economies.
