The incident quickly triggered discussion on social media, with people suggesting that Janhvi had become upset because of the reel star. Amid the gossip, Janhvi has now clarified what actually happened at the event.
Speaking in an interview with Ultra Marathi Buzz, Janhvi said the issue was not important to her, but people should not draw conclusions simply by reading a caption. She said that when a video is captioned ‘Janhvi got angry’, people immediately believe it. Janhvi added that everyone gets angry at some point and she also gets angry, but she generally does not react publicly. According to her, sometimes a situation develops in such a way that even the person who is angry does not realise it, otherwise people start taking them for granted.
Janhvi then explained what happened at the Dahi Handi event that day.
She said she had to leave the event and travel to another event, with the journey taking one and a half hours. Initially, nobody on the stage was saying anything. Only the DJ was playing while people were standing around, and nobody was dancing either. As an artist, Janhvi felt that someone needed to speak to the crowd, so she asked the organisers to give her the microphone.
According to Janhvi, the anchor became active as soon as she took the microphone. He immediately announced that Bigg Boss fame Janhvi Killekar was present and then mentioned the name of the reel star as well. He said that both of them would speak to the audience and deliver dialogues.
Janhvi said this was the moment when she became angry. She questioned why the anchor was taking someone else’s name when the microphone was already in her hand and she was going to speak. She said the anchor should at least have been aware of who had the microphone and who was supposed to speak.
Janhvi made it clear that she had no problem with the reel star. According to her, the problem was the anchor’s indiscipline. She said that in the viral video, only her anger was visible, while nobody knew the reason behind it, leading people to misunderstand the situation.
Janhvi further said that ever since Bigg Boss, people have assumed that she is arrogant and constantly gets angry. She denied this perception and questioned whether she would have been invited to events if she really behaved that way. She said she has attended many events so far and that organisers invite her because they like her nature, something she believes people do not understand.
Janhvi was known for speaking her mind during Bigg Boss as well, saying things directly rather than keeping them to herself. Her latest clarification now puts her viral Dahi Handi event video in a different context, with the actor stating that her reaction was directed at the anchor’s conduct and not the reel star.
