While recording his statement, Satish Salian said he named Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray along with several other individuals. He stated that he mentioned the names of Aaditya Thackeray, actress Rhea Chakraborty, actor Sooraj Pancholi, Dino Morea and some bodyguards before CBI officials.
Satish Salian clarified that he told the investigating officers only the facts he knew about his daughter’s death. “Whatever is fact, whatever happened to my daughter, I told everything to the officers,” Satish Salian said.
He further confirmed that he had taken the names of Aaditya Thackeray, Sooraj Pancholi, Dino Morea and their bodyguards while recording his statement.
Disha Salian’s death has previously been the subject of political and media discussions on several occasions. Various claims and allegations have been made in connection with the case. After recording his statement, Satish Salian expressed confidence that justice would be delivered on the basis of truth. “Truth cannot be defeated. Where there is truth, there is God. Therefore, justice will be done,” he said.
The Bombay High Court had earlier passed an important order in the Disha Salian death case, directing that the investigation be handed over to the CBI. Disha Salian’s father, Satish Salian, had alleged serious lapses in the investigation into his daughter’s death and sought a fresh probe and registration of an FIR.
The CBI’s next steps based on Satish Salian’s statement, including who may be questioned and what emerges from the investigation, are now being closely watched.
