TVK Poised to Fill DMK’s Space in INDIA Alliance as Vijay Eyes National Political Role

The relationship between the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam and the Congress party has reportedly strengthened considerably. Vijay has reinforced the alliance by allocating two ministerial positions and one Rajya Sabha seat to Congress, despite having the option to retain the parliamentary seat for his own party. The possibility of Vijay’s entry into the INDIA alliance gained further attention after Congress’s Tamil Nadu in-charge, Girish Chodankar, met him at the Secretariat on Thursday. Beyond Tamil Nadu, Vijay’s influence extends through his immense popularity as a film personality. He commands a substantial fan following in Kerala and enjoys support to a certain extent in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka as well. This wider regional appeal could prove highly beneficial for Congress during future election campaigns.
