Maharashtra ATS Conducts Extensive Raids in Shrirampur Over Alleged ISI-Linked and Mumbai Underworld Network; Four Individuals Detained

Maharashtra ATS conducted raids in Shrirampur, Ahilyanagar district, detaining four individuals in an investigation linked to alleged ISI connections and Mumbai underworld links. Officials are probing suspected contacts with Pakistan-based gangsters Bhatti and Rana through social media, while examining digital evidence including chats and call records amid an ongoing high-level security probe.

The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) carried out coordinated search operations on Thursday, June 4, across multiple locations in the Shrirampur area of Ahilyanagar district, as part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged network linked to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and the Mumbai underworld. The operation marks a significant escalation in an already sensitive probe involving suspected cross-border and organized crime connections.

According to intelligence sources, the action targeted premises associated with individuals believed to have links with persons already under scrutiny in the case. During the operation, ATS officials detained four individuals for questioning. They have been undergoing interrogation for approximately 10 hours as investigators attempt to establish the nature and extent of their alleged involvement.

Sources further indicated that preliminary inputs suggest certain detained individuals were in contact with Pakistan-based gangsters through social media platforms. Investigators suspect that communications may have taken place with identified Pakistan-based criminal figures, including Bhatti and Rana. These alleged interactions have intensified concerns over a possible coordinated network operating across borders.

The ATS is currently examining multiple layers of digital evidence, including social media chats, call detail records, and other forms of electronic communication, to determine whether the suspected network had any operational linkage with Mumbai underworld elements and ISI-supported activities. Authorities are focusing on mapping the communication trail and identifying any potential coordination between domestic and foreign-based operatives.
