The tender, issued under Tender Number MMRDA/MPIU/ML5/CA-303, pertains to the Kasheli Depot track works for the Mumbai Metro Line 5 project. The scope of work includes the design, development, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of standard gauge track works, including both ballasted and ballastless track systems, within the Kasheli Depot for the Mumbai Metro Line 5 corridor.
Mumbai Metro Line 5, also known as the Orange Line, is planned to connect Thane, Bhiwandi, and Kalyan, providing a faster and more reliable public transport network for commuters travelling between these rapidly expanding urban centres. The Kasheli Depot will function as the operations and maintenance hub for the corridor, supporting the efficient functioning of metro services.
