In the post, Trump argued that even if Iran completely capitulated, acknowledged the destruction of its navy, accepted that its air force had ceased to function, withdrew its military from Tehran, laid down its weapons, and formally surrendered before the strength of the US military, the American media would still portray the outcome as a major Iranian victory.
Describing a hypothetical scenario, Trump wrote that even if Iranian forces raised white flags across the country and the entire leadership signed surrender documents before the United States military, what he called the “fake news” media would continue to depict the development as a triumph for Iran rather than for the United States.
Trump specifically targeted several prominent American media organizations in his remarks. He referred to The New York Times as a failed publication, called The Wall Street Journal “China Street Journal,” and described CNN as corrupt. He also criticized the Democratic Party, writing that “Dumacrats” and the media had completely lost their way and had become irrational. The term used by Trump is widely regarded as a highly derogatory expression in American political discourse.
