Open House 2026 Draws Aspiring Designers from 40+ Cities to Anant National University

Designed to provide a deeper understanding of design beyond aesthetics and decoration, the event introduced participants to design as a discipline grounded in critical thinking, systems understanding, innovation, and problem-solving. Bringing together students from diverse academic backgrounds and regions, the initiative highlighted how design education can contribute to meaningful solutions for contemporary challenges in India and across the world.

The event attracted nearly 400 students and parents, offering them a first-hand experience of Anant’s academic environment. Participants engaged in hands-on workshops conducted by more than 30 faculty members, explored design studios through guided walkthroughs, and interacted with mentors and peers. These activities enabled attendees to observe how ideas are developed, refined, and transformed into prototypes and practical solutions addressing real-world issues.

Open House 2026 also showcased the university’s flexible and future-oriented academic framework, which integrates design with sustainability, technology, research, and interdisciplinary learning. Curated discussions provided insights into the wide range of career pathways available within the design sector, helping students better understand the professional opportunities linked to design education.

Parents actively participated throughout the programme, gaining a broader perspective on the relevance, scope, and career prospects associated with design studies. Adding further value to the experience, Anant alumni interacted with participants and shared their academic and professional journeys after graduating from the university. The programme also featured a vibrant drum circle session, creating an atmosphere of collective participation, creativity, and celebration. The activity brought students, faculty members, and participants together in a shared experience of expression and collaboration.
