Maharashtra Farmer Loan Waiver: Fourth List Includes 1.15 Lakh Farmers
Maharashtra's fourth farmer loan waiver list includes 115,697 eligible farmers with crop loans across multiple banks. Check district-wise beneficiary numbers, eligibility conditions, the Rs 2 lakh waiver limit and Aadhaar authentication requirements.
According to information provided by the Cooperation Department, a total of Rs 13,275 crore has so far been credited to the loan accounts of 15.85 lakh eligible beneficiaries under the scheme. Banks have uploaded details of a total of 31.17 lakh overdue loan accounts on the scheme’s portal.
Under the scheme, loan waiver benefits of up to Rs 2 lakh will be provided for eligible crop loans and restructured or re-restructured loans disbursed between April 1, 2019, and March 31, 2025. The loans must have been overdue as of September 30, 2025, and remain unpaid as of March 31, 2026.
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district has the highest number of beneficiaries in the fourth list, with 17,484 farmers included. Pune district follows with 16,246 beneficiaries, while Jalna district has 12,926 and Ahilyanagar district has 11,274 farmers on the list. Sangli district accounts for 8,484 beneficiaries, while 6,104 farmers from Yavatmal district have also been included.
The number of beneficiaries from other districts includes 4,791 farmers from Beed, 4,286 from Satara, 4,161 from Nanded, 2,986 from Parbhani, 297 from Solapur and 216 from Gadchiroli.
Earlier, the first beneficiary list included 16,96,201 eligible beneficiaries, the second list covered 4,19,737, and the third list included 3,51,192 beneficiaries. The fourth list now covers farmers who have loan accounts with more than one bank.
Farmers whose names appear on the fourth list must ensure that their Aadhaar authentication process has been completed. Eligibility verification and completion of the required formalities are essential for the loan waiver amount to be credited. Farmers have been advised to contact their respective banks or the Cooperation Department to obtain information about the next steps in the process.
With the fourth list extending coverage to eligible farmers holding crop loan accounts across multiple banks, completing Aadhaar authentication and the necessary verification remains crucial for beneficiaries awaiting relief under Maharashtra’s farmer loan waiver scheme.
