Tiger Shroff Firing Case: Shooters Practised With Guns in Aarey Forest for 4 Days
Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested 10 accused in the Tiger Shroff firing case. Investigators say the alleged shooters practised with a pistol in Aarey Colony forest and remained in contact with handlers before and after the October 18 incident.
According to the accused, their practice sessions lasted three to four days, with each session running for an average of two to two-and-a-half hours. The alleged shooters reportedly carried out this practice before executing the firing incident on Sunday evening.
Investigators have also received information that the accused fired three rounds during their gun practice in the Aarey Colony forest. A local shepherd has claimed that he heard three rounds being fired in the area a few days before the incident.
According to the alleged shooters’ statements, they initially practised firing with an air gun. They later used a real pistol, with one accused firing two rounds and another firing one round.
The accused reportedly told investigators that they received the actual weapon used in the firing at a hotel on October 17. That same evening, the three allegedly travelled to an isolated location in the Aarey Colony forest and practised firing with the weapon. The practice sessions are now part of the Crime Branch’s investigation into the preparations preceding the attack.
Shooters Were in Constant Contact With Handlers
Mumbai Police suspect that the handlers of the attackers who fired at Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car alerted them after television news coverage of the October 18 incident showed their faces. The investigation has indicated that the alleged shooters were in contact with their handlers through phone calls and messages and were receiving instructions and updates during the incident.
According to police sources, the shooters remained in contact with their handlers even after carrying out the firing. The accused and their handlers were also reportedly monitoring media coverage of the incident.
Sources said that after the shooters’ photographs surfaced, the handlers informed them about the development and instructed them to leave the area as soon as possible. The handlers reportedly alerted the accused that their images had become public, prompting concerns about their exposure.
With 10 arrests made so far, the Crime Branch is examining the alleged shooters’ preparations, their communication with handlers and the events following the October 18 firing incident. The reported use of a secluded forest location for weapons practice and the alleged flow of instructions from handlers remain key aspects of the investigation.
