Nashik Lawyer Sheetal Narule, 31, Killed as Container Trailer Runs Over Scooter
Nashik lawyer Sheetal Narule, 31, died after a container trailer hit her scooter near Ranenagar flyover on the Mumbai–Agra Highway. Her eight-year-old son’s heartbreaking question has left her family devastated.
According to the information available, the accident occurred at around 11:30 am on Friday when Sheetal Narule was travelling on her scooter. A container trailer heading towards Dwarka struck her scooter from behind on the flyover. The impact threw her onto the road, and the container's wheel passed over her head. She died at the scene.
After receiving information about the accident, Ambad police seized the container and registered a case. Sheetal's death has left behind her husband, Deepak, their eight-year-old son, her parents and her parents-in-law.
Sheetal lived with her family in Nashik's CIDCO area. Her husband, Deepak, is involved in the real estate business. While helping him with his work and managing household responsibilities, Sheetal developed an interest in law and decided to pursue a legal career. Her husband encouraged her to continue her studies and work towards her professional ambitions.
Sheetal obtained her law degree in 2024 and subsequently began practising law. Just a few months ago, she opened her own office at Damodar Chowk in Pathardi Phata, Nashik, marking a new chapter in her professional life. Alongside raising her young son, she continued practising law and assisting her husband with his business. Her sudden death has cut short the career she had worked hard to establish.
Her eight-year-old son studies in Class 3 at St Francis School. Whenever Sheetal left home, the child would innocently ask, “Mom, when will you come back?” He expected her to return after finishing work and spend time with him. Now, the family faces the difficult task of explaining her permanent absence to a child who is still waiting for his mother to come home.
Sheetal had been balancing family responsibilities and her career while working towards a better future for her son. Opening her own legal office was an important step towards building her practice, but the accident has left her family struggling with an irreparable loss.
The fatal crash has also renewed concerns about road safety near the Ranenagar flyover on the Mumbai–Agra Highway. According to reports, more than 15 people have died in accidents on the stretch between Garware Chowk and Dwarka over the past year. The recurring accidents have raised questions about traffic management and the safety measures in place along the route. Local residents have expressed anger over what they see as inadequate arrangements to prevent further crashes.
Sheetal Narule's death has brought renewed attention to the dangers faced by two-wheeler riders on the stretch. While police have seized the container and registered a case, the accident has left a family grieving and an eight-year-old child waiting for a mother who will never return.
