Raids Seize Tons of Adulterated Paneer, Milk and Fake Ghee Across India
Raids in Mathura and Hyderabad expose large-scale dairy adulteration, with adulterated paneer, contaminated milk and nearly 36 tonnes of fake ghee seized as authorities push for tougher action.
In Mathura, teams destroyed 1,500 kilograms of adulterated paneer and 3,000 litres of contaminated milk. Chemicals were also seized for testing under the supervision of Commissioner Dr. Roshan Jacob.

In Hyderabad, inspectors seized nearly 36 tonnes of fake ghee made using palm oil, vanaspati, cream, starch and artificial flavours. The product was being sold as pure ghee to restaurants and sweet shops.
The raids highlight ongoing action against dairy adulteration, with Maharashtra also calling for tough laws such as MCOCA to protect public health from hidden risks in everyday food products.
The seizures in Mathura and Hyderabad underscore the continuing concern over adulterated dairy products and the measures being sought to address risks to public health.
