Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign Gains Momentum Ahead of 80th Independence Day
Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 is gaining momentum from August 9 to 17 as citizens hoist flags, join rallies and share selfies ahead of August 15, with participation from Dr. S. Jaishankar, B L Santhosh and communities nationwide.
The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign has gathered momentum ahead of the 80th Independence Day, encouraging citizens across the country to display the national flag at their homes, participate in rallies and share selfies on the official portal.
The campaign, now in its fifth edition, is being observed from August 9 to 17, 2026, leading up to Independence Day on August 15. The initiative is also coinciding with the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram.
External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and BJP leader B L Santhosh have joined the campaign by posting their own flag moments online, adding to the nationwide participation surrounding the initiative.
In Jammu and Kashmir, CRPF personnel, students and NCC cadets participated in a march in Bhaderwah as part of the campaign. Meanwhile, Delhi has intensified security arrangements ahead of Independence Day, while communities across the country are participating in processions and waving the national flag.
The campaign's activities across different regions are bringing citizens together through flag hoisting, rallies and public participation, building a shared sense of pride ahead of the 80th Independence Day.
