India and Nepal have signed MoUs for eight development projects worth 803 million Nepali rupees across health, education and agriculture under India’s HICDP framework, with implementation planned across Nepal.

The Embassy of India in Nepal and various Nepali government bodies have signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for the execution of eight projects across the education, health and agriculture sectors using Indian grant aid.

The eight developmental initiatives, with an estimated total value of 803 million Nepali rupees, will be implemented through local government entities and institutions under the Government of Nepal.

The Embassy stated that the projects were selected under India’s High Impact Community Development Projects (HICDPs) framework and will be rolled out across diverse regions of the Himalayan nation.
