The event highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s efforts to protect elephants and manage human-elephant conflict, including the use of Kumki elephants. The celebrations also showcased initiatives involving wildlife rescues, mangrove plantations and eco-tourism.
The national World Elephant Day celebrations underscored India’s key role in protecting wild elephants while promoting coexistence between humans and nature.
