May Turns Deadly for Family Bonds in Jaipur as Series of Murders Shock the City

The first major case emerged in the South District when police received information about the body of a young man found in the Shipra Path area. After reaching the scene, police shifted the body to the mortuary and began an investigation. The probe revealed that the deceased's wife had allegedly conspired with her lover to have her husband murdered. Police arrested both accused in connection with the case.

Before the investigation into that case had concluded, another shocking incident surfaced from the Shivdaspura area, where the body of a woman was discovered inside a well. During the investigation, police found that the deceased's nephew, Suraj, along with his associates, had allegedly attacked his aunt to steal her silver anklets. According to the investigation, the accused severed her feet to remove the ornaments before murdering her and disposing of the body in the well. Police later solved the case and arrested the accused.

The East District also witnessed a horrifying crime during May. In the Khoh Nagoriyan area, a son allegedly murdered his own mother after she refused to give him money for narcotics. According to police, he first smashed her head against a wall and, when that did not satisfy him, repeatedly stabbed her with a knife before fleeing the scene. Following an investigation, police arrested the accused son, Anil.

The North District reported another case involving violence within the family. A nephew allegedly strangled his uncle to death following a dispute over money. To conceal the victim's identity, the accused reportedly disfigured the deceased's face with a stone. Police investigated the case, solved the murder, and arrested the accused nephew, Jayaprakash.

Apart from these murder cases, Jaipur also witnessed another incident that sparked widespread public outrage. Closed-circuit television footage surfaced showing a son brutally assaulting his father. The video triggered strong public condemnation, following which police arrested the accused son.

According to police officials, the incidents reported during May were among the most shocking cases witnessed in the city in recent times. Although Jaipur Police successfully investigated every case and arrested all the accused, the series of crimes has raised troubling questions about the growing breakdown of family relationships and the circumstances that have driven close relatives to commit such brutal acts against their own family members.
