According to a report published by The Indian Express, Salman Khan and his family may soon relocate from Galaxy Apartments following the approval of a new six-storey bungalow project in Bandra’s Chimbai area. The Coastal Zone Management Authority of Maharashtra granted clearance for the construction on June 16, subject to a key environmental condition that no trees in the area will be cut during construction, ensuring ecological protection.

The proposed new residence will be constructed on land registered in the name of Salman Khan’s mother, Salma Khan. The plot previously had a two-storey structure, which was demolished after becoming structurally outdated. The new development plan includes a ground floor, stilt parking, and six upper floors, covering an area of approximately 1,014 square meters.
The location of the new house is reported to be in close proximity to Galaxy Apartments, also within Bandra. While the family has not issued any official statement regarding the timing of the move or whether Galaxy Apartments will be permanently vacated, speculation continues regarding the transition.
In recent years, Salman Khan has faced repeated death threats, significantly intensifying his security arrangements. In 2024, a firing incident occurred outside Galaxy Apartments, further prompting authorities to strengthen his protection. The actor currently operates under Y+ security cover. Against this backdrop of heightened security concerns, the upcoming residence is believed to incorporate enhanced safety measures and modern facilities, although no official confirmation has been provided regarding these specifications.
