KLAY Appoints Abhishek Joshi as Chief Executive Officer to Accelerate India's Early Childhood Education Mission

KLAY has appointed Abhishek Joshi as its Chief Executive Officer to lead the company's next phase of growth in early childhood education and care. With more than two decades of leadership experience across India's leading consumer brands, Joshi will focus on expanding access to quality preschool education, childcare, and parenting support while strengthening KLAY's nationwide presence.

KLAY, India's leading early childhood education and care provider, has appointed Abhishek Joshi as its Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant leadership transition as the country's education sector places increasing emphasis on the critical importance of early childhood development under the national education agenda.

Abhishek Joshi assumes leadership with a clear mandate to establish KLAY as India's definitive early childhood ecosystem by strengthening its integrated model of learning, childcare, and parenting support while expanding access to quality early education for families across the country. The appointment reflects the organisation's vision of setting new benchmarks for early childhood education rather than pursuing incremental growth.

The company's long-term strategy is rooted in established scientific research indicating that nearly 90 percent of a child's brain develops before the age of six. KLAY believes that the curiosity, confidence, and character nurtured during these formative years create the foundation for lifelong learning and development, making quality early childhood education an essential investment rather than simply childcare.

Abhishek Joshi brings more than two decades of leadership experience in building and scaling some of India's most recognised consumer brands. During his career, he has held senior leadership positions at Licious, Jubilant FoodWorks, Domino's India, Hindustan Unilever, and GCMMF (Amul), where he successfully led business transformation, category development, and customer-focused growth initiatives. Recognised for his transformational leadership approach, he has consistently focused on developing purpose-driven organisations and high-performing teams. He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management in Sales and Marketing from the Institute of Rural Management Anand and a Bachelor of Technology degree from Govind Ballabh Pant University. Outside his professional responsibilities, he is a fitness enthusiast with interests in trekking, surfing, travelling, and spending time with his family.

Commenting on the appointment, Sandeep Reddy, Chairman of Founding Years Learning Solutions, said India has reached a defining stage in recognising the importance of early childhood development, with scientific evidence confirming that experiences before the age of six significantly influence an individual's future. He stated that the organisation aims to make world-class early childhood education a standard for Indian families rather than a privilege. He added that Abhishek Joshi's extensive experience in building trusted consumer brands while maintaining quality makes him the ideal leader to guide KLAY into its next phase of growth.

Speaking on his appointment, Abhishek Joshi said that few responsibilities are more significant than shaping a child's earliest years. He stated that KLAY has earned the confidence of parents through years of dedicated service and expressed his commitment to strengthening that trust by expanding the organisation's reach, enabling more children across India to receive a strong educational foundation while supporting parents throughout their parenting journey. He described the opportunity as a mission worthy of dedicating the most important years of his professional career.
