Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Anand Singh attended the ceremony as the chief guest, while senior Congress leader Muzaffar Hussain provided guidance and support during the event.
Rajpurohit has recently gained attention for leading a public movement demanding a solution to the area's water supply crisis. During the campaign focused on securing basic civic amenities for residents, a case was also registered against him.
Addressing the gathering, Muzaffar Hussain assured Rajpurohit of his full support and stated that challenges and opposition are inevitable in public welfare work. He said that struggles undertaken for the protection of public rights are a defining characteristic of a genuine public servant and that difficulties encountered during such efforts should be regarded as a mark of respect and achievement.

Chief guest Anand Singh stressed the need to strengthen the party organization at the booth level and urged workers to place public service at the centre of their activities. He said the Congress party must continue to raise issues affecting citizens and work consistently toward resolving them.
In his address after assuming office, Rajpurohit said that despite becoming district president, he continues to regard himself as a grassroots public worker. He pledged to work with complete dedication to address every issue affecting residents of Mira-Bhayander and to remain at the forefront of developmental initiatives connected to social welfare and public interests.
Several senior Congress leaders and public representatives also addressed the gathering, including Bhanwar Singh Rajpurohit, Corporator Jai Thakur, former city president Pramod Sawant, Corporator Anil Sawant, former city president Zuber Inamdar, and Congress leader Hira Devsi.
The event drew the participation of numerous elected representatives, including Corporators Afreen Syed, Rizwana Anwar, Tareen Mendonsa, Sunil Chaudhary, Rubina Sheikh, Sheikh Firoz, Sana Deshmukh, Ashraf Mistry, Rafiq Pathan, and Irene Paul Cordras, further enhancing the scale of the ceremony.
Several distinguished guests were present on the stage, including Dinesh Chandra Upadhyay (M.Tech.), Jagdish Purohit Basant of the Adarsh Hotels family, Arjun Singh Tinwari, President of the Rajpurohit Samriddhi Foundation, Congress leader Chandan Singh Rajpurohit, Mahendra Singh Chauhan, Siddhesh Rane, Deepak Bagri, Kunal Katkar, Jawahar Shah, Sohan Jain, Ajay Singh, and Rajiv Doshi.
The proceedings were conducted by Rahul Parikh of Rajasthan Udghosh, who effectively moderated the programme.
Rajpurohit highlighted his family's three-generation association with the Congress ideology. Originally from Barwa village in Rajasthan's Pali district, he began his speech in Marathi, reflecting his strong connection with Mira-Bhayander, a gesture that received an enthusiastic response from those present.
One of the most notable aspects of the ceremony was the participation of people from diverse social backgrounds, communities, and faiths. Representatives from all 36 communities of Rajasthan were among those in attendance, underscoring the spirit of social harmony, communal unity, and inclusive participation that marked the event.
The ceremony not only marked a leadership transition within the Congress organization in Mira-Bhayander but also showcased a broad display of political support and community engagement, reinforcing the party's efforts to strengthen its grassroots presence in the region.
