Surya Hospitals Announces Rs 80 Crore Expansion Drive to Strengthen Women and Children Healthcare Network Across India
Surya Hospitals has announced an Rs 80 crore expansion plan to strengthen its women and children healthcare network in India. The investment includes a new Kandivali hospital, Santacruz expansion with 55 beds, and an Ahmedabad specialty facility, funded through internal accruals, enhancing capacity and regional healthcare access.
The planned investment will primarily be directed towards the construction of a new healthcare facility in Kandivali, Mumbai, alongside the expansion of its existing Santacruz centre with the addition of 55 new beds. This development is expected to substantially enhance the organisation’s capacity to deliver specialised healthcare services for women and children.
The healthcare network, which already operates established facilities in Mumbai and Jaipur and is preparing to launch a new centre in Pune, is also charting its next phase of growth with planned expansion into Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The move signals a strategic effort to broaden its footprint across western India and beyond.
According to details shared by Dr. Bhupendra S Avasthi, the organisation recently expanded its Santacruz facility with the addition of the ‘Amber Wing’. With this enhancement, the Santacruz centre has now crossed a total capacity of more than 250 beds, all dedicated exclusively to women and children’s healthcare services.
In a further development, Dr. Avasthi also confirmed plans to establish a new specialty hospital in Ahmedabad. As reported by Devdiscourse, the proposed facility is expected to become operational in the next financial year, reinforcing the group’s long-term commitment to expanding access to specialised medical care across the region.
The expansion strategy is being fully funded through internal accruals, underscoring the financial stability of the healthcare network and its capacity to self-finance large-scale infrastructure growth without external funding support.
With these initiatives, Surya Hospitals continues to accelerate its infrastructure development agenda, aiming to strengthen its position as a leading provider of specialised healthcare services for women and children across multiple Indian cities.
