REVA University Unveils New Academic Initiatives in Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductors, Electric Mobility and Aerospace
REVA University has launched new academic initiatives in Artificial Intelligence, semiconductors, aerospace, electric mobility and advanced manufacturing, along with industry collaborations, Centres of Excellence and scholarships. The university aims to equip students with future-ready skills for emerging global industries and interdisciplinary careers.
The announcement marks a significant step in the university’s strategy to align higher education with India’s rapidly evolving technological and industrial landscape.
Speaking at the event, Dr. P. Shyama Raju, Chancellor of REVA University, said that India is standing at the threshold of a major technological and industrial transformation. He noted that while sectors including semiconductors, aerospace, electric mobility, automation, clean energy and advanced manufacturing are expanding at an unprecedented pace, the country continues to face a substantial shortage of skilled professionals in these areas.
He stated that REVA University views this talent gap as an opportunity to equip the next generation of students with the knowledge, technical capabilities and industry exposure required to become future-ready professionals.
Dr. M. Dhanamjaya, Registrar of REVA University, highlighted the institution’s robust academic ecosystem and well-equipped hostel facilities, describing them as a safe, comfortable and supportive environment that offers students a true home away from home.
Dr. Shubha A, Dean of REVA Business School and the Faculty of Commerce and Management Studies, emphasized the university’s innovative and industry-oriented curriculum. She said REVA University follows a multidisciplinary academic model across 21 schools, with in-house curricula developed through extensive collaboration between academic experts and industry leaders.
Gaurav Yadav, Director of Admissions, said the university is progressing beyond multidisciplinary education toward a transdisciplinary learning framework by integrating Artificial Intelligence, innovation, research and interdisciplinary learning into all academic disciplines.
Among the major initiatives presented were DivyaSree-supported Centres of Excellence dedicated to sustainable infrastructure, smart technologies, advanced manufacturing, urban innovation and three-dimensional printing. These centres are expected to provide students with practical learning opportunities and research exposure in emerging technologies.
The university also showcased future-focused programmes in Mechatronics Engineering and Aerospace Engineering. These programmes are designed to provide hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence, robotics, unmanned aerial vehicles, automation, avionics, intelligent mobility and advanced aerospace technologies.
REVA University underscored that the future of education is not a choice between core disciplines and Artificial Intelligence, but rather the integration of core disciplines with Artificial Intelligence. The university has embedded Artificial Intelligence across engineering, management, commerce, healthcare, media and applied sciences to prepare students for an increasingly AI-enabled world.
The institution further introduced its industry-driven Bachelor of Commerce programme in Corporate Finance and Analytics integrated with the United States Certified Management Accountant qualification. The programme is intended to equip students with expertise in finance, analytics, strategic decision-making and global career readiness.
In addition to technology and business education, REVA University emphasized the importance of the School of Performing Arts and Indic Studies, which is dedicated to preserving India’s artistic and cultural heritage. The university also highlighted the School of Geopolitics and Public Policy, established to develop globally aware policy thinkers capable of addressing complex international and domestic challenges.
The university announced a wide range of scholarships covering merit, sports, National Cadet Corps, defence personnel, differently abled students, siblings, referrals and staff categories, reinforcing its commitment to making quality education accessible to deserving candidates.
In a notable achievement for the university’s sporting community, student cricketer Macneil Hadley Noronha has been selected for the squad of Chennai Super Kings, bringing further recognition to the institution.
With these far-reaching academic initiatives and strategic collaborations, REVA University has positioned itself at the forefront of future-oriented education, combining technological innovation, interdisciplinary learning and industry integration to prepare students for leadership in some of the world’s most critical and transformative sectors.
