BJP Unveils Mega Mission 2027 Plan, Puts PM Modi and Amit Shah on Front Foot in UP
BJP launches its Mission 2027 strategy in Uttar Pradesh, placing PM Modi and Amit Shah at the forefront. From rallies across 18 divisions to 50-family outreach targets, the party is preparing an extensive election campaign.
The party has drawn up a detailed plan assigning responsibilities ranging from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to booth-level workers. Under its micro-management strategy, the BJP aims to reach households across Uttar Pradesh, activate its organisational network down to the booth level and improve coordination among different teams.
While BJP workers will take charge of the ground-level campaign, PM Modi and Amit Shah will work to build the political momentum across the state. Along with addressing rallies, Amit Shah will focus on persuading disgruntled party leaders and strengthening electoral calculations. The BJP is planning to formally launch its 2027 Assembly election campaign after Diwali.
The party intends to keep PM Modi and Amit Shah at the forefront of its preparations. It has planned rallies by the Prime Minister across all 18 divisional regions of Uttar Pradesh to build the electoral atmosphere.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will lead the party's election campaign in the state. In the first phase, he will interact with party workers through region-wise public meetings and booth-level conferences.
The BJP has divided Uttar Pradesh into six organisational regions: Western UP, Braj, Awadh, Kanpur, Kashi and Gorakhpur. Amit Shah is expected to address rallies in these regions and hold meetings with party leaders to work out electoral equations. Subsequently, the party is planning to organise rallies by Shah in all districts of Uttar Pradesh.
Nitin Nabin, Rajnath Singh and Other Senior Leaders to Address Rallies
The BJP's campaign strategy extends beyond PM Modi and Amit Shah. The party is also preparing to deploy its national president Nitin Nabin, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other senior leaders across the state's political battleground.
The BJP plans to intensify its election campaign after November 20, with PM Modi's first rally scheduled to begin in Western Uttar Pradesh. He will subsequently address rallies across different divisions while also announcing development initiatives for the respective regions.
National president Nitin Nabin, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other senior party leaders will hold election meetings across the state. The party is preparing a detailed programme for their rallies.
Ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections, the BJP plans to organise public meetings by PM Modi in all divisional regions. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is already engaged in addressing rallies at the district level. Nitin Nabin is also expected to hold rallies at district and Assembly constituency levels as part of the campaign to build political momentum.
BJP Begins Micro-Management to Address Discontent and Electoral Challenges
Alongside its high-profile campaign, the BJP has started micro-management efforts to correct electoral equations that have weakened and address dissatisfaction within the organisation.
UP BJP organisation general secretary Dharampal Singh and the party's state in-charge Vinod Tawde have begun working on Mission 2027.
Tawde said the Uttar Pradesh elections would depend on micro-management and that completing preparations on time, or even ahead of schedule, could help the party achieve better results than in 2017.
The party is preparing a door-to-door outreach programme to connect with every voter. Under this initiative, BJP workers will reach out to women, young people, first-time voters, beneficiaries of government schemes, farmers, small traders, intellectuals, ex-servicemen and representatives of all social and religious organisations.
As part of the Har Ghar Sampark Abhiyan, each party worker will be assigned 50 families to contact. The BJP has decided to mobilise its booth-level workers to ensure that every worker reaches out to 50 families.
BJP Focuses on Gen-Z Voters and Social Media Outreach
The BJP is also looking to strengthen its communication with Gen-Z voters by increasing its social media presence. Party workers have been advised to share information about organisational activities and campaigns in their respective areas through photographs, videos and text posts on social media platforms.
Vinod Tawde said coordination teams would be established at the district level. These teams would review campaigns and monitor their implementation across districts.
With rallies by senior national leaders, household-level outreach, booth activation and a stronger social media presence forming the core of its strategy, the BJP is preparing an extensive organisational and political campaign for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
