Yash Urges Fans to Support ‘Ramayana’, Look Beyond VFX Flaws Ahead of Release
Yash urges fans across Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi cinema to support Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana and look beyond VFX criticism as Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi prepare for the epic’s worldwide release.
Speaking at a special event for the film in Hyderabad, Yash appealed to audiences across India’s film industries to unite in support of the project and the team behind it. He urged fans not to focus excessively on issues such as visual effects (VFX), emphasising that the opportunity to bring such an ambitious film to audiences should not be taken for granted.
“If they like it, they will talk about it,” Yash said before making a direct appeal to viewers. “Please don't try to find small faults; VFX, this-that. This chance won't come again. For years. If we lose people like him now, we'll go back,” he said.
Yash then asked audiences to approach the film with an open mind, acknowledging the intentions of the team behind the project and its willingness to respond to criticism.
“So let's see with an open mind,” he said, adding, “He has had the right intentions; all criticism, correction, he has always taken and tried to do the best.”
Yash’s remarks came amid social media discussions surrounding the film’s visual effects and character designs. The team has reportedly been monitoring online reactions ahead of the release, with producer Namit Malhotra actively following social media trends, feedback and controversies related to the highly anticipated mythological epic, Ramayana: Rise of a Legend.
Following the release of early video assets, Malhotra reportedly tracked online discussions about the film’s visual effects and character designs. He subsequently issued an official statement acknowledging the feedback and stating that the team was “listening closely” as it worked to refine the output. Shortly afterwards, fans noted major changes in character design, among other developments.
Yash also called on fans from the Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi film industries to come together in support of the film, urging audiences to put aside industry divisions and collectively celebrate the project if they enjoyed it.
