According to a complaint filed by lekhpal Vishnukant Mishra, plot number 342 is government property classified as a state estate. The complaint alleges that Harilal Maurya illegally divided the land into plots and sold them to several people.
Among those who purchased the land was Aradhya Singh, who, along with others, was allegedly carrying out construction work on the property. Despite being stopped from carrying out the construction, the accused allegedly continued the work.
Following the complaint, police registered a case against Harilal Maurya and Aradhya Singh at Cantt Police Station in connection with the alleged illegal plotting and construction on government land.
