Pakistan Warns Iran as Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia Raise Tensions

Pakistan has warned Iran after Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, citing its defence pact with Riyadh and urging Tehran to control the Houthis as concerns grow around Mocha and the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.

The growing activities of Houthi rebels in the Middle East and their latest attacks on Saudi Arabia have increased tensions for Pakistan. Following the Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, Pakistan has warned Iran and urged Tehran to keep the Houthis under control.

Pakistan has referred to its defence pact with Saudi Arabia while conveying the warning to Iran. Pakistan has asked Iran to exercise control over the Houthis, citing its defence pact with Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, the Houthis' takeover of the Yemeni city of Mocha has raised further concerns around the Red Sea and the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.

The developments have added to concerns surrounding the region as Houthi activities and attacks involving Saudi Arabia have placed Pakistan in a sensitive position due to its defence commitments with Saudi Arabia.
