Madhya Pradesh Weather: Heat and Humidity Return as Monsoon Activity Weakens

Madhya Pradesh sees rising heat and humidity as monsoon activity weakens. Ratlam, Chhindwara, Bhopal, Rewa and Umaria record higher temperatures, while light showers remain possible in some areas until September 11.

Heat and humidity have returned across Madhya Pradesh as monsoon activity weakened, bringing relief from rainfall but increasing discomfort for residents. On Tuesday, weather remained mainly dry across most districts, leading to a rise in both daytime and nighttime temperatures. Several cities experienced strong sunshine combined with moisture in the air, resulting in persistent humidity throughout the day.

The maximum temperature increased by 1 to 3.4 degrees Celsius across the state. In Ratlam, the daytime temperature reached 32.3 degrees Celsius, which was 3.1 degrees above normal. In Chhindwara, the maximum temperature was recorded at 31.4 degrees Celsius, 3.4 degrees above normal.

Bhopal also experienced strong sunshine after several days. The maximum temperature rose by around one degree Celsius to 31.5 degrees Celsius. The combination of sunshine and moisture increased discomfort, with humid conditions prevailing throughout the day.

Night temperatures also recorded a rise. In Rewa, the minimum temperature was 27.5 degrees Celsius, 3.4 degrees above normal. Umaria recorded a nighttime temperature of 24.3 degrees Celsius, which was 3.3 degrees above normal.
