India's Piyush Goyal Leads 200-Plus Business Leaders on Major Japan Visit

The delegation will travel to Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, with discussions focused on semiconductors, artificial intelligence, clean energy, manufacturing, automobiles and finance.

During meetings with executives from companies including IHI, Mitsui and JFE Steel, Goyal highlighted India's stability and presented the country as a key destination for expanding business cooperation.

Bilateral trade currently stands at .47 billion, while Japan has set an investment goal of ¥10 trillion in India over the next decade. The delegation's visit is aimed at advancing cooperation across sectors linked to the two countries' economic and industrial priorities.

The visit follows the July summit and comes as India and Japan mark 75 years of relations. It also includes efforts to advance projects such as a Japanese City in Uttar Pradesh and next-generation collaborations.

With more than 200 industry leaders accompanying Goyal across Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, the four-day visit places stronger economic cooperation, investment and industrial partnerships at the centre of India-Japan engagement.
