Family of Three Dies After iPhone EMI Dispute Ends in Khavdya Hill Tragedy
An iPhone EMI dispute in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar turned tragic after 18-year-old Kunal Chandgude climbed Khavdya Hill. His parents died after attempting to save him, while an inquiry remains underway.
Kunal had argued with his parents, Murlidhar and Sangita, over iPhone EMI payments that he could not afford. He then climbed Khavdya Hill and threatened to jump from the cliff.
Murlidhar and Sangita, along with villagers and police, pleaded with Kunal for nearly three hours in an effort to prevent him from jumping. During the standoff, Murlidhar attempted to pull his son back from the edge, but both fell into the gorge.
Kunal, 18, bought an iPhone on EMI, struggled to pay them, told his parents to pay the EMI, and they said they couldn't afford it. An argument followed.
