According to the girl, the journey began when a “typical Delhi girl” met a “typical Marathi mulga” on Shaadi.com. Their very first phone call lasted three hours, during which they realized they were alike—both talkative, passionate about their work, and fond of traveling. The girl stated that she found a perfect partner in Siddhant, someone with whom she could feel free.
As reported by Humans of Mumbai, their long-distance relationship between Delhi and Mumbai initially appeared to be the biggest challenge. However, the real difficulty emerged when they informed their families about the relationship. Cultural differences between the two families led to their disapproval of the marriage.
For an entire year, the couple endured tears, arguments, and even a brief breakup when it seemed there was no future. Despite this, they did not give up. When they gathered the courage to meet each other’s parents, the families witnessed their happiness together. Eventually, in December 2025, both families agreed, and their “roka” ceremony was held.
Just five days after the roka, the couple went on a vacation to Bali. The girl had often jokingly asked Siddhant whether he would ever propose. Even while preparing for scuba diving, she scolded him for being “too adventurous,” unaware of what was about to happen underwater.
