M3M Foundation Launches "Payal@40" Initiative in Himachal Pradesh to Empower 40,000 Women

M3M Foundation Launches

Meta Description: M3M Foundation signs a landmark MoU with Govind Sagar Block Level Federation in Una, Himachal Pradesh, to launch the "Payal@40" initiative. This partnership aims to empower 40,000 women nationally and support 2,500 women in Bangana Block through the Rural Livelihood Centre, providing structured training, SHG support, and youth skill development for sustainable economic independence.

In a decisive move to catalyze rural economic transformation, the M3M Foundation has officially extended its flagship initiative, “Payal@40,” to the Bangana Block of District Una, Himachal Pradesh. This strategic expansion, designed to fortify rural livelihoods, culminated in the signing of a pivotal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 2 April 2026 at the Block Office in Bangana. The agreement between the M3M Foundation and the Govind Sagar Block Level Federation (BLF) establishes a formal partnership for the operation of the Rural Livelihood Centre (RLC) under the aegis of the Himachal Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission (HPSRLM). This collaboration is meticulously engineered to provide structured training, capacity building, and robust livelihood support to local Self-Help Groups (SHGs) while simultaneously unlocking advanced skill development opportunities for the rural youth of the region.

The implementation of this partnership is set to deliver an immediate and measurable impact, with projections indicating that more than 800 beneficiaries per year will gain access to SHG-based training modules and income-generation activities. The MoU was formally executed by Dr. Aishwarya Mahajan, Managing Trustee & President of the M3M Foundation, and Ms. Rajni Devi, President of the Govind Sagar Block Level Federation (BLF), Bangana, who also holds the responsibility of overseeing RLC Bangana. This initiative represents a core component of the broader “Payal@40” mission, which was originally announced in Banaras (Varanasi) with the ambitious objective of empowering 40,000 women across the nation. Dr. Payal Kanodia, Chairperson and Trustee of the M3M Foundation, emphasized that the project is a deep-seated commitment to dignity and self-reliance, ensuring that the social and economic foundations of rural families are significantly strengthened through grassroots intervention.

The signing ceremony was attended by key administrative figures, including Block Development Officer (BDO) Shri Kishori Lal Verma, who, alongside Ms. Rajni Devi, lauded the M3M Foundation for its dedication to enhancing the capacity of rural institutions. Dr. Aishwarya Mahajan reiterated the Foundation's resolve to create long-term social value by promoting skill-based livelihood opportunities and expressed gratitude to the Himachal Pradesh State Rural Livelihoods Mission and all participating officials, including M3M Foundation representatives Javid Mir and Rishi Bhatnagar. Over the next three years, the M3M Foundation is committed to creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for more than 2,500 women across the Bangana Block. As the philanthropic arm of the M3M Group, the Foundation continues its mission of transformative nation-building, having already impacted over 5 million lives across 1,300 villages in 22 states through its comprehensive health, education, and livelihood programs.
