Yogi Adityanath’s Humorous Remark on Ravi Kishan Highlights Struggle, Film City Vision in Gorakhpur
Yogi Adityanath humorously remarks on Ravi Kishan’s journey during a Gorakhpur event, highlighting his struggles and success while emphasizing Uttar Pradesh’s upcoming film city project aimed at providing local opportunities for aspiring artists.
Despite the jest, the Chief Minister acknowledged Ravi Kishan’s dedication, emphasizing that he has become a successful artist through sheer perseverance. He underlined that not every young individual manages to achieve such success, highlighting the challenges faced by aspirants in the entertainment industry.
Referring to the upcoming film city project in Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister stated that if such infrastructure had existed earlier, artists like Ravi Kishan would not have needed to struggle in Mumbai. He informed that filmmaker Boney Kapoor has sought time on April 24 for the foundation stone laying ceremony of the film city. The Chief Minister asserted that the initiative will provide a platform for youth in Purvanchal and across Uttar Pradesh to learn acting and showcase their talent within the state, eliminating the need to migrate elsewhere.
This was not the first instance of public banter between the Chief Minister and Ravi Kishan. On a previous occasion, the Chief Minister had jokingly remarked that after delimitation and the implementation of 33 percent women’s reservation, the Gorakhpur parliamentary seat could be allocated under the women’s quota, potentially affecting Ravi Kishan’s candidature. Videos of such interactions frequently go viral on social media, often culminating with Ravi Kishan concluding his remarks with the chant of “Har-Har Mahadev.”
The remarks, while humorous, underscored both the personal journey of Ravi Kishan and the state government’s push to institutionalize opportunities for aspiring artists through the proposed film city, marking a significant cultural and developmental initiative for the region.
