Agoda Repeat Visitor Ranking 2026: New Delhi Tops India, Tokyo Leads Asia
Agoda’s 2026 Repeat Visitor Ranking puts New Delhi at No. 1 in India and Tokyo at the top in Asia, while Bali, Da Nang and Fukuoka record notable movements in repeat travel demand.
Agoda’s ranking highlights the destinations in India and across Asia that continue to attract travelers for repeat visits. In India, New Delhi leads the ranking, followed by Chennai, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Kochi.
New Delhi’s position reflects its mix of experiences, including the Red Fort and Humayun’s Tomb, bustling markets and a diverse food scene. Chennai, ranked second, combines Dravidian heritage, coastal locations such as Marina Beach and distinctive South Indian cuisine.
Mumbai ranks third and is defined by its Art Deco architecture, Bollywood legacy and iconic food culture. Bengaluru, in fourth place, blends its technology-driven identity with a craft beer and restaurant scene, live music culture and green spaces. Kochi, completing India’s top five, offers Fort Kochi’s colonial heritage, Kerala cuisine, contemporary art and access to the state’s backwaters.
Across Asia, Tokyo has moved to the number one position for the first time, overtaking Bangkok. Bali ranks third for the first time, followed by Seoul and Osaka. Da Nang, Kuala Lumpur, Fukuoka, Taipei and Johor Bahru complete the top 10.
Tokyo’s rise reflects its appeal for repeat travelers, with experiences ranging from seasonal attractions such as cherry blossoms to hidden neighborhoods and its culinary scene. Bangkok ranks second and continues to attract travelers with its wellness experiences, dining and cultural landmarks.
Bali’s move to third place highlights its continued appeal through its beaches, spiritual retreats and lush landscapes. The ranking also points to the growing appeal of Japan and Vietnam as destinations travelers are choosing to revisit.
Fukuoka entered the top 10 for the first time at number eight, indicating increased interest in destinations beyond Japan’s traditional tourist hubs. The city is known in the ranking context for its ramen culture and laid-back atmosphere.
Vietnam’s Da Nang climbed two places to sixth, with its beaches, proximity to UNESCO sites such as Hoi An and value contributing to its repeat-visit appeal.
