India won the first Test by 165 runs and currently lead the two-match series 1-nil. Team India will look to win the second Test and complete a series whitewash, while Sri Lanka will aim to level the series.
India also needs to win this match to move into fourth place in the race for the 2025-27 World Test Championship final. Australia is at the top, followed by South Africa and New Zealand.
