India Aim to Defend Racketlon World Championship Title Under Chaufla’s Captaincy

The six-member squad announced by the Racketlon India Sports Association (RISA) includes Chaufla as captain along with Prashant Sen, Monesh Mashruwala, Akshay Gandhi, Raghav Jatia and Nidhi Tiwari.

India will compete in the Challenge Cup category and enter the tournament as defending champions after winning the title last year.

Racketlon is a unique sport that combines four disciplines — table tennis, badminton, squash and tennis. The winner is decided based on the cumulative score achieved across all four sports.

Expressing his pride at leading the team once again, Chaufla said, "It is an honour to captain India for a third consecutive World Championship. Representing the country is always a matter of immense pride, and we are looking forward to defending our title," according to a release.

RISA President KK Cheema congratulated the selected players and wished the Indian squad success at the World Championships.

Krishna Kotak, founder of Racketlon in India, said the Indian team’s consistent performances at the international level reflect the steady growth of the sport in the country and wished the squad the very best.

With India entering the competition as defending champions, the upcoming Racketlon World Championships will provide the six-member squad an opportunity to continue its international success and demonstrate the country’s progress in the sport on the global stage.
