Nand Kishore Goenka passed away in Mumbai on Monday, July 13, at the age of 96. He breathed his last at his residence in Mumbai. His mortal remains were kept for final viewing at his residence, A Road, Vasant Sagar, Marine Drive, where people paid their last respects.
The final rites witnessed the presence of several prominent political and social leaders, including Manohar Lal, Union Minister; Dr. Harsh Vardhan, former Union Minister; Ranbir Gangwa, Cabinet Minister of Haryana; Subhash Barala, Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament; Vinod Bhayana, MLA from Hansi; Kamal Gupta, former Minister of Haryana; Chandraprakash, MLA from Adampur; and Amit Chachan, MLA from Nohar, Rajasthan.
Born on September 28, 1930, Nand Kishore Goenka dedicated a major part of his life to social service and national service. He was an active volunteer of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and handled various important responsibilities within the organisation. Keeping away from business activities, he focused on social welfare initiatives, religious activities, and especially cow protection services.
Known for his simple nature, disciplined lifestyle, and dedication to service, Nand Kishore Goenka was held in high regard by society. His contributions to social causes and community welfare remained a significant part of his public life.
